What are the advantages of purchasing training on DVD-ROM?

There are several advantages to purchasing training on DVD-ROM. Video training is far more effective than learning with a book or a user manual. With video based instruction, we experience visual learning as each function and feature of the software is demonstrated for us by an expert instructor. Video training offers you all the advantages of learning in a classroom environment – with a great added benefit. You can go back to view your DVD-ROM based training as often as you need to.  Finally, DVD-ROM based training provides you with the flexibility of learning at your own speed, at your own time, and at any location of your choice. No other training medium offers you as many benefits and as much flexibility. Firefly Learning’s Video Workshop products are designed to help you quickly learn and become productive with your software.

What are the benefits of using the project files, and can I do your training without them?

Use the project files to practice using the tools and techniques you have learned. These practical “lab” sessions will help reinforce your learning.

Of course, our video training workshops are still a great way to learn even without the project files. Project files are available free to all registered users – we strongly recommend that you download the project files and take advantage of this great resource.

Can I download your training courses?

At this time, we do not offer our training courses online. Firefly Learning’s Video Learning Workshop series are only available on DVD-ROM.

Are your training products Windows or Macintosh compatible?

Both! Each of our training DVDs can be run on both Windows and MacOSX computers. This gives you even more flexibility – just carry your DVD with you – and you can attend your class on virtually any computer that has a DVD-ROM drive. You can even attend class in an environment where you do not have internet access! Please check the minimum system requirements for more details.

We are interested in working with authors who are expert users of a software application or technology, and share a passion for teaching. What types of credit cards do you accept? Can I pay by check? What about other payment methods?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We also accept payment via Paypal. And yes, we can accept an order for prepayment via check.

If I pay for my purchases with a credit card, are those transactions secure?

Shopping at http://www.firefly-learning.com is safe and flexible. Our secure-server software uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), an advanced encryption technology that encrypts your credit card number and other personal information so that no one else can read it. This technology safeguards your personal information and guarantees privacy.

How long does it usually take you to ship an item?

Orders placed by 2pm Central Time on any working day will be processed and shipped the same day. Otherwise, the order will be shipped on the next business day. Order that require academic or government verification will only be shipped after the required documentation has been received.

What shipping methods do you offer? What are your shipping charges?

We ship all orders within the United States via UPS. UPS Ground shipping charges are $8.95 per order. UPS 2 Day Air shipping charges are $18.95 per order.

Shipments to Canada are sent via UPS International Standard at a shipping charge of $11.95 per order. We can also ship via US Express Mail for $24.95 per order - this applies to shipments to Canada and UK. Please note – these are shipping rates for each order. You can order an unlimited number of items or units on each order.

If I'm in a hurry, can I request next day or second day service?

Yes, we offer a standard shipping rate for UPS 2 Day Air shipping. If you need next day service, please call us at 877-324-3637 and place your order by phone. UPS Next Day Air shipping charges will be charged at actual based on your zip code and the weight of your shipment.

Do you ship international orders?

Yes - we can ship orders to most countries. Customers from the United States, Canada and United Kingdom can place their orders from this web site. We do ship to other countries - please email us at sales@firefly-learning.com for information on estimated shipping charges and how to place your order.

Do you charge sales tax?

We collect and remit sales tax from customers located in Texas (@ 6.75%). We do not collect or remit sales tax from customers in any other state.


We are a tax exempt organization. How can we place a tax exempt order?

Tax exempt organizations within the state of Texas must fax us a copy of their Texas State tax exemption form. Please fax this to us at 512-788-9908, and we will remove the sales tax from your order.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Yes, we can ship your order outside the United States. For information on international ordering, please send an email to sales@firefly-learning.com. Please tell us what products you are interested in ordering, and where we must ship your order. We will respond with prices, shipping costs, and how to place your order.


How can I place an order for Firefly Learning products if I am not located in the US or Canada?

Please email us at sales@genesis-technologies.com with your inquiry. Please tell us what products you are interested in ordering, and where we must ship your order. If we have a reseller located close to where you live, we will forward your request to the reseller. Otherwise, we can service your order from the United States, and will respond to you with prices, shipping costs, and how to place your order.

Do you offer educational discounts for students or educators?

Do you accept purchase orders?

We accept purchase orders from accredited educational institutions (K-12 Schools, Community Colleges and Universities), and from Local, State and Federal Government Agencies.

I received a product that is different from the one I ordered. How do I exchange this?

We will exchange an item that we erroneously shipped to you for the correct item up to 30 days from the time you received your product.

Please call us at 877-324-3637 and speak with a customer service representative. We will take care of correcting any shipping errors.

I purchased a product, and the disk doesn’t seem to work. What should I do?

We will exchange a defective item for a new copy of the same item for up to 60 days from the time you purchased your product.

Before calling to request a replacement disk, please try the disk on another computer (if you have access to one) to ensure that there is a problem with the disk.

Otherwise, please call 877-324-3637, and we will send you a replacement disk.

What is your return policy?

We will accept returns of any unopened products for a period of 30 days from the date of your purchase.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns of opened products – except in the case of defective products that need to be exchanged.
